– Website & Branding

Sunday, November 15th, 2015

Following the success of their first website, A&A Mizzi Ltd. decided to launch their company into the ever-growing world of e-commerce. Being the way forward in today’s fast-paced technology-driven world, this step was, indeed, inevitable for this well-established company. The idea, therefore, was to provide a wide range of their products on a virtual platform, making them accessible to a broader segment of the public.

Being a website aimed at a vast array of people, it was decided that it would have a completely different feel to the more corporate A&A Mizzi Ltd. website. The name ‘MyShopMalta’ was decided upon, due to its simplicity. Furthermore, a much more colourful approach was applied in order to appeal to a multitude of people. This distinguishing and bright colour scheme was meticulously selected during one of many meetings with the client, whereby ideas and designs were discussed, ensuring that the client was satisfied and an integral part of the branding process.

The next step to be undertaken was the development of the website. Being a multi-faceted website, a lot of work was involved in the coding and designing of various functions. The site offers online shopping services and, by extension, payment gateway integration in order to allow for an easy and effortless shopping experience. The website also boasts banner management, adding dimension and vibrance, reflecting the profile of the brand, as opposed to a more static feel. A Content Management System (CMS) was also implemented, allowing the client to have control and a level of independence over the website, being able to update the website with products and other information, whilst also being able to view orders.

Following the development of the website, it was then marketed on a vast array of media. It was advertised on printed media as well as online channels, namely Facebook and Google Display. Search advertising was also set up with the aim of exposing the website in the broadest and the most effective of ways. - Website and Branding - Website and Branding - Website and Branding - Website and Branding - Website and Branding - Website and Branding - Website and Branding - Website and Branding

Facebook to reduce number of business posts on user timelines

Facebook have announced that they will be reducing the number of posts from Business pages from people’s news feeds. This will be done to increase the quantity of posts by friends while scrolling through the social medium. The reasoning behind this, according to Mark Zuckerberg, is that using social media to interact with people we care about can be beneficial, while “passively reading articles or watching videos… may not be as good.”
