The new website was not only needed to increase their online sales, but making it more user-friendly and an enjoyable online shopping experience to their consumers. Since its customers came from diverse demographics, the site had to be designed in a way where minimal effort is required to look for products as well as place orders.
The design of the website was totally custom-made from the ground up and also tested with various users to ensure a pleasant user experience.
This new site features numerous functions besides the standard set of pages. Banners were introduced, not only to entice users but also to inform them about their special offers and featured products. Customers can now search for the products directly, thanks to the new search facility. Meanwhile, the product pages are also extremely detailed, not only with the description and price of the product, but also with the possibility of buying products by piece or by weight, depending on the customer’s needs.
The placement of orders is also straightforward and designed with the customer in mind, with the possibility of either having your purchases delivered or picking them up from any of the Smina stores. Confirmation emails, moreover, are sent automatically to both the customers and the management at Smina, thus making it easier for them to manage their orders.
In fact, all the above-mentioned functions are easily managed by a state-of-the-art backend system, allowing Smina to update most aspects of the website as well as easily manage their orders, track sales and reporting. This Content Management System was set up with the busy client’s needs in mind, who required a system that could be updated and amended with minimal effort. Search Engine Optimisation was also added in order for the site to be able to rank higher in search engines.
