New Web Design and Development for Lead Training Services

Friday, May 6th, 2016

Lead Training Services offer training courses on all levels for individuals seeking to further their skillsets, but also to companies who want to invest in their employees by providing them with training in all sorts of fields.

For us, this project stood very much to heart as Lead Training Services share with us the same core values. In fact, as their name implies, it truly embodies what they stand for and represent as they truly are leaders and professionals in their field. Thus, their website should mirror who they are, which is why they required web design and web development services executed from the ground up.

Tailor-Made Web Design

The website was designed meticulously. Meetings were held in order to discuss what improvements on the previous site needed to be implemented into this new website. It was established that the website needed to be more functional and responsive to different devices, while being aesthetically appealing and more user-friendly. In fact, the website design not only reflects the branding, but also incorporates some elements from the logo whilst portraying a modern yet dynamic look and feel.

Built from the Ground Up

When the web design was finalised, website development commenced, a step which was executed carefully with the utmost attention to detail. This project encompassed a myriad of high-end functions, namely a custom designed slider on the homepage showcasing all upcoming courses, a tailor-made timetable generator, custom-made and unique course pages together with individual course registration pages. Another highlight is the ‘extended menu’ showing all the courses – running and upcoming – for easy user navigation and access.

An optimised backend system was set up in order to facilitate the retrieving of new application forms by Lead Training Services administrators. The website also hosts a password-protected area providing students with resources from their lecturers.

One of our favourite features implemented for quick contact is that of incorporating Facebook Messenger within the website. Users of the site may get in touch with Lead’s administrators on Facebook Messenger directly through the website. One may also access an area with the latest news, as well as subscribe to Lead’s newsletter. All subscribers will be automatically added to an email list for easier submission of newsletters in the future.

Optimised for Any Type of Device

A pivotal functional improvement that this website includes is its responsiveness, offering a fully optimised experience on any device – from desktop screens to tablets and smartphones. This was taken a step further with the development of a web app. This allows users to have an icon directly on his smartphone dashboard for quicker access to the site without the necessity of going through a web browser.

A Content Management System (CMS) was set up in order for administrators to be able to access data submitted by users, as well as update new courses, resources, news and more. Google Analystics was also set up and explained so as to provide the administrators with the independence and control of checking detailed website statistics. Last but not least, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) improved the websites ranking in web searches on different search engines, namely on Google.

Already in its first few days since its launch, the website has received positive feedback, not only from the people running Lead, but also from website users. Whilst ongoing support will be provided, we wish Lead Training Services infinite success with their new website!

Facebook to reduce number of business posts on user timelines

3
Feb

Facebook have announced that they will be reducing the number of posts from Business pages from people’s news feeds. This will be done to increase the quantity of posts by friends while scrolling through the social medium. The reasoning behind this, according to Mark Zuckerberg, is that using social media to interact with people we care about can be beneficial, while “passively reading articles or watching videos… may not be as good.”
