New website for Cosmoline Ltd

Thursday, August 30th, 2018

Cosmoline is the company behind household names when it comes to cleaning detergents and personal hygiene products in Malta. They entrusted us with the design and development of their brand new website.

As per usual, we held meetings with the clients with the aim of understanding fully what it was that they were after in the design of their new custom website. This website was to serve two main purposes, that of showcasing the products they manufactured and distributed, and as a portal for vendors to be able to submit orders for distribution.

The company’s existing logo was used as a stepping stone for the whole look and feel of the custom website design, maintaining the colours throughout the different sections and pages of the website.

Cosmoline Ltd - Custom Website Design & Development

Custom Made Website Design and Development

A tailor-made web design process ensued once we were confident in our understanding of the clients’ wants and needs. When the clients were satisfied with the final web design, the web development process commenced, ensuring that the website was coded in as efficient a way as possible to make the website user-friendly from both the front-end and the back-end. All this was done while implementing Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) at various levels throughout the custom developed website. This allows for prominence and higher Search Engine Rankings.

The website showcases the vast array of products that Cosmoline Ltd has to offer, while also intelligently suggesting other products the user might be interested in based on the product they would be looking at. Furthermore, a state-of-the-art vendor portal is embedded in the site whereby both sales agents selling the products to retailers as well as the actual vendors are able to seamlessly and effortlessly submit their orders through a members-only section once provided with login credentials by the company.

Mobile and Tablet Responsive

The website can be accessed easily with no loss in terms of experience or functionality from any device. Indeed, the website has been made mobile phone and tablet responsive and particular development was carried out for each device. This, as well as the embedding of SEO functionality throughout the website was possible to execute so seamlessly thanks to the fact that the website was designed and developed from the ground up.

An integrated Content Management System (CMS) will also allow the clients to take care of their website by updating their content and accessing all the data independently.

We wish Cosmoline Ltd all the very best in their future endeavours and augur that this website will not only be able to display their products elegantly but also help them to operate more efficiently.

Facebook to reduce number of business posts on user timelines

3
Feb

Facebook have announced that they will be reducing the number of posts from Business pages from people’s news feeds. This will be done to increase the quantity of posts by friends while scrolling through the social medium. The reasoning behind this, according to Mark Zuckerberg, is that using social media to interact with people we care about can be beneficial, while “passively reading articles or watching videos… may not be as good.”
